Pro DJ KC has been in existence since 1994.  Our performers are all professional mobile entertainers/emcees with years of experience in the event industry.

Our entertainers not only play the music that will keep your guests dancing; they specialize in working with vendors and party participants to make sure your event runs smoothly by providing coordination and emcee services throughout the event. No "cheesy dj's" here trying to steal the show.  Our talent is in being able to work with yo to match your personality, musical preferences and the atmosphere you are trying to create for your event...with the dj that is perfect for you.

WHO WE ARE

My name is Jennifer Sinnett, owner of Pro DJ KC. My passion for music began in school while participating in everything from marching band to concert choir.  I loved listening to my parents vinyl records and cassette tapes (I know, I'm dating myself by admitting that I started DJing before CD's were even invented).  Shortly after high school I began singing in an alternative band with some friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of playing to a crowd...although the small bars and bar-b-q parties weren't by definition a "crowd".

I had fun with that for a few years as I was working a boring corporate desk job and waiting tables.    I found my career path much by accident when a DJ didn't show up for a shift at the bar I was working for and I filled in.  One thing lead to another and here I am 18 years later, still passionate about music and loving the fact that I get paid to help other people have a great time and celebrate life's special moments!

I have one daughter, Ashley Backs who has shared this fun ride with me over the past two decades.  She has been such fun to grow up with and a tremendous friend/daughter.   Ashley and her husband Nick  are delightful.  Nick by the way is one of our DJ's and a fairly good dancer...although I've been told that their first dancing experience was much like a scene from  "Hitch"...we took him under our wing and showed him a few moves. My faithful companions include one golden-haired, very loyal, brown eyed furr-friend named Prince and a not yet photographed 4 lb miniature yorkie named Oliver.  Constantly at my heels, always happy to see me, they love music and long walks in the park...the perfect partners.
